Nearly all the bumperstickers were for Kerry - when you saw a Bush sticker, it was like, "who the hell is that?"

Bush won purely because he and his administration knew how to play the fear card. And no sitting American president has ever been defeated during a war. This was actually the closest election in American history during the conduct of a war. His economic and environmental policies are extremely unpopular and his poll numbers continue to drop. Though I am not a religious person, I pray to whatever universal forces there might be for a strong Democratic showing in the 06 Congressional elections and a Democratic victory for President in 08. Dems aren't perfect, and as for Iraq, they will have to play the cards they've been dealt, but at least very few of them are crazed neo-Cons with delusions of global domination...Other Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08079055348844157557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10492881.post-1115221720410673552005-05-04T08:48:00.000-07:002005-05-04T08:48:00.000-07:00As a Canadian, I was really concerned with America...As a Canadian, I was really concerned with America's last election. I wanted to see who the American people would vote for.

I'm actually glad it was a close race (close - relative term). I'm glad to know almost 1/2 the country didn't want the Bush administration around a 2nd time.

It's a long 4 years.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10492881.post-1114706509949791512005-04-28T09:41:00.000-07:002005-04-28T09:41:00.000-07:00It's astonishing that Bush will destroy Persia, th...It's astonishing that Bush will destroy Persia, the Fertile Crescent, the very birthplace of humanity on this planet. There's an ironic symmetry in that, but it's horrific. America was supposed to embody the ideal, all that man could aspire to on our planet. Bush has, in a few short years, turned us into the scourge of nations, an example of how power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.Real History Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14097712043872228470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10492881.post-1114703157595896722005-04-28T08:45:00.000-07:002005-04-28T08:45:00.000-07:00Y'know, stuff like this used to make me embarrasse...Y'know, stuff like this used to make me embarrassed to be American, but now all it does is make me feel embarrassed for all those people who believe that what Bush and Co are doing is in any way right OR good for the country...Dana Fredstihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12802936840624512415noreply@blogger.com
